2020 has been hard on everyone. Even then, some of us been lucky to sail through it. Yet, we know quite a few who haven’t been so. Especially our partners, the local businesses around us, in our journey so far. We’re based out of Downtown LA, and we wanted to do something for them.
A couple of days ago, we launched the #StepOutForDTLA campaign, with the help of Mariana (@visionsmariana), Lizette (@dtlawanderer), Robert (@30daysoftakeout), and Black Owned Food LA (@blackownedfoodl) who are some of the best curators not only in Downtown, but Los Angeles as well.
Over the coming two weeks, we’re giving away $2500 gift cards to our users from more than 40 DTLA businesses, including places like Dirt Dog, Hatch, Pilot and Sibling Rival at The Hoxton, Sonoratown, and many more. You can have a quick look at the entire list of our featured businesses here.

With this campaign, we’re also taking the opportunity to raise money for the Downtown Women’s Center. For the last 42 years, they’ve been helping and empowering women experiencing homelessness and previously homeless women. We’ll be donating $1 for every rating added by the Markk community, up to $1000.
